KKAWF-EU Unplugged - Hum Saath Hain - Sessions by EU Master Trainers at OGTI
The Ministry of Narcotics Control, in collaboration with the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, European Union and Karim Khan Afridi Welfare Foundation (KKAWF) conducted the training programme, “Unplugged” for Teachers to educate students from grades 5-8 (aged 10-14). This life skills program aims to help them cope better with the difficulties they face, as well as making better life choices, with the long term goal of drug prevention. The teachers were trained in Islamabad at the Oil & Gas Training Institute (OGTI) in I-9 by European Master Trainers – Mr. Peer van der Kreeft (Co-Creator of the Programme), Mr. Johan Jongbloet, Ms. Oihana Rementeria, Dr. Akanidomo Ibanga, Ms. Helena Fialova and Mrs Lubna Ghani Hayauddin.
The sessions were conducted on the following dates (Every session starts at 9 am till 5 pm with lunch & tea breaks)

8th-10th November (Master Trainer: Dr. Akanidomo Ibanga)
9th-11th November (Master Trainer: Ms. Oihana Rementeria)
15th-17th November (Master Trainer: Ms. Helena Fialova)

22nd-24th November (Master Trainer: Ms. Oihana Rementeria)

These trainings were given free of cost (Sponsored by EU-Act & Hogent) to teachers of Public and Private Educational Institutions (low income-low fee schools), with a commitment from the teachers to teach at least 3 sessions of 20 students within a year. These sessions were given in English!
