Building Resilient Classrooms: Teacher Training on Life Skills, Drug Prevention, and Mental Health in Gilgit-Baltistan
KKAWF in collaboration with OGDCL conducted teacher training in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan from 23rd to 30th April 2025. The Department of Education Skardu facilitated KKAWF by providing the venue, the teachers and the support.
The Hum Saath Hain , life skills, drug prevention programme was delivered to 120 teachers from Skardu and was well received and is now being successfully implemented in class rooms across schools in the target areas.
The training was conducted by EU trained trainers, KKAWF International Master Trainer Lubna Ghani Hayauddin led the training along with and Prof Tasneem Akhtar Mir of Federal Department of Education- FDE.
The training was assisted by trainers in training Sir Osayd , Sir Hizbar and Sir Haris.
In addition a one-day workshop on mental health and pedagogy was held by the KKAWF team where 30 female teachers received training on these important issues related to drug issues.
